The suspense continues in Group C of the World Cup, as it’s still unknown who will go through to the knockout round.
And in the Poland vs Argentina match we witnessed something that doesn’t happen very often: Messi missed a penalty kick.
It happened in the 37th minute of the game when a dubious penalty was awarded to the Albiceleste, after a foul by Wojciech Szczesny on the PSG star.

Just when it looked like Argentina would take the lead and increase their chances of reaching the next round, Szczesny played the hero and saved Messi‘s shot.
The Juventus goalkeeper held his nerve until the end and dove to his left, and with his right hand, he blocked the shot.

So far, Szczesny is the goalkeeper of the tournament, having saved two penalties.
In Poland’s match against Saudi Arabia, the goalkeeper was also instrumental in securing his team’s victory.
