Tragedy struck on Tuesday evening in Calabar as an Inspector of Police, Stephen Enang, reportedly slumped and died shortly after watching Arsenal defeat Spanish giants Real Madrid 3-0

In a tragic turn of events on Tuesday evening in Calabar, Inspector Stephen Enang of the Nigeria Police Force collapsed and died shortly after witnessing Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Real Madrid. Enang, a native of Ekori in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, was stationed at the Akim Police Division along IBB Way.

Eyewitnesses reported that the 45-year-old, an ardent Arsenal supporter, was in high spirits throughout the match. “He jumped up in excitement multiple times,” one observer recounted. However, after the final whistle, Enang remained seated and was found unresponsive.

Despite immediate efforts at the Police Hospital in Akim, he was pronounced dead. Attempts to obtain an official statement from the Cross River State Police Command were unsuccessful as of press time.
