2027: Real reasons you won’t see me campaigning around Peter Obi like 2022

Social activist Aisha Yesufu has announced a strategic shift in her support for NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general election, saying she will focus less on high-visibility campaign tours and more on building polling unit structures and protecting votes at the grassroots level.

“Yes, I will still campaign with Peter Obi when necessary, but you might not see me travelling around with him as much as possible,” Yesufu said in a video clip.

Tribune reports that the activist, prominent in Obi’s 2023 Labour Party campaign, urged supporters to monitor result entry and transmission processes closely. “Follow it. Escort your vote from your polling unit to the ward collation centre,” she said.
