43 dead after toxic fumes hit illegal fuel siphoning site in Rivers

At least 43 people have died after inhaling toxic fumes during an illegal fuel siphoning operation in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday at Okari Jetty in Okrika Mainland, where a vessel was reportedly loading petroleum products for export.
Details of the incident remain sketchy as authorities are yet to release an official statement on the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
