FIFA Board backs Infantino, admits mistakes over withdrawn forward enterprise plan

FIFA’s top leadership has reaffirmed its support for President Gianni Infantino following a meeting in Rabat, Morocco, Vanguard reports.

The Wednesday meeting, attended by Infantino and Secretary General Mattias Grafström, addressed the withdrawn FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal, with officials admitting mistakes were made, including excluding the Council and Member Associations.

FIFA confirmed the proposal is now off the table and pledged improved governance ahead of future events.
