Fake agency probe: Adeyemi rejects Reps secret questioing, demands public hearing
The purported Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, Adeniyi Adeyemi, has rejected the House of Representatives ad hoc committee’s decision to interrogate him at an undisclosed location while in police custody, Punch reports.
His lawyer, Ademola Oyedokun, said Adeyemi welcomed the probe but demanded a public hearing, urging the committee to invoke Section 89 of the Constitution to compel police to produce him openly.
He also challenged the legality of his continued detention.
