Mossad Chief Gofman removes two senior officials over failed Iran regime-change plan
Mossad Director Roman Gofman removed two senior officials, the head of the agency’s Intelligence Directorate and the head of its Iran division, over a regime-change plan that was drafted but not implemented, N12 reported, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Israeli officials said the exits were “by mutual agreement” amid a broader reorganisation, though N12 linked the moves directly to the shelved plan, which reportedly involved Kurdish forces entering Iran and installing former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was wounded in an Israeli strike meant to free him.
