How police forced me to remove my trousers, underwear after arrest – Osun Commissioner
Osun State Commissioner for Environment Mayowa Adejoorin has alleged that Nigeria Police operatives forced him to remove his underwear, singlet, trousers, shoes, socks and belt after arresting him at the State Criminal Investigation Department in connection with an Amotekun operative attached to his convoy, according to Sahara Reporters
Speaking after his release on Sunday, Adejoorin said police intercepted his vehicle in Ilesa on Saturday, drove him around for approximately 40 minutes before taking him to the CID, where he was ordered to strip.
“I said, ‘Why?’ But I was helpless at that moment. I complied,” he said. The Osun State Police Command has not issued a public statement on the allegations.
