AOC opens up on egg-freezing costs, pressure over women’s choices

36-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez complains that her insurance didn’t pay for her to freeze her eggs and says she spent “years” saving up for the $8,000 egg-freezing procedure.

AOC also said men who criticize her can’t be trusted because they don’t “understand the first thing about a woman’s body.”

“There is so much negative messaging that is directed towards women around our family choices, period…”

“If you have kids, when you have kids, whatever, there’s so much negativity, and it is designed to… put us in a place of fear or insecurity so that we are making choices out of that place.”
