Lagos: Nigerian law school student dies after jumping from four-storey hostel rooftop
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of 23-year-old Nigerian Law School student Faith Alayande, who allegedly jumped from the rooftop of a four-storey hostel building at the institution’s Victoria Island campus on Friday, as reported by PUNCH Metro.
Command spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi confirmed that the deceased wrote a suicide note before her death, which prompted her hostel mate and a relative to search for her — but they were unable to reach her in time.
“Her body has been evacuated to a morgue for preservation,” Adebisi said. Police visited the scene following a report from the institution’s matron.
