Ex-Thai lawmaker kills ex-police official, confesses live on YouTube
A former Thai MP, Chalong Reawraeng, allegedly shot dead a local official, Thongchai Yenprasert, in Nonthaburi province before dialling into a YouTube livestream to confess to the host.
According to BBC News, Chalong later held a press conference at a police station, claiming he did not intend to shoot Thongchai, describing the incident as arising from a personal dispute after Thongchai’s driver allegedly drew a gun. The shooting comes three days after a school shooting in Thailand left eight dead, reigniting debate over the country’s gun laws.
