Energy experts accuse NNPCL of diverting attention from Ojulari’s alleged oil block favouritism
The Oil & Gas Professionals Forum (OGPF) has accused the NNPCL of giving a diversionary response to allegations that GCEO Bayo Ojulari facilitated favourable oil block awards to associates, including one of his wives.
According to Peoples Gazette, NNPCL maintained that block allocations fall under the NUPRC’s statutory mandate, not its own. OGPF convener Ayodele Momoh said the corporation failed to address the alleged conflicts of interest, calling instead for accountability over reported production growth.
The allegations remain unverified, and NNPCL has denied any regulatory or allocative role in the matter.
