Osun Poll: APM candidate steps down, endorses Adeleke

The Allied Peoples Movement’s governorship candidate in Osun State, Adebayo Adewale, has withdrawn from Saturday’s election and thrown his support behind Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid, according to Peoples Gazette.

Adewale said the decision followed extensive consultations and was a “conscious choice to place Osun state’s interest above personal ambition,” adding that Adeleke deserved another term to consolidate his administration’s progress.

He urged APM members and residents to join him in supporting the governor, stressing that “politics should always serve the people.”
