Osun election: Thugs chase voters away at Aregbesola’s polling unit
Voting has been disrupted at the polling unit where former Osun Governor and ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola is registered to vote in Ilesa, after suspected thugs stormed the area and chased voters away, Saturday Telegraph reports.
The incident threw the electoral process into temporary disarray, forcing voters to flee as tension escalated around the polling location — raising serious concerns about voter safety and the integrity of the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
The identities of the suspected thugs and the response of security agencies remained unclear at press time. The disruption adds to a series of election-day incidents already being reported across the state.
