Amazon job scam texts resurface with a fresh twist
According to a report by Fox News, a fresh recruitment scam is impersonating Amazon, promising remote work paying up to $600 daily for just over an hour of tasks. Tech journalist Kurt Knutsson identified red flags including a Hotmail sender address, vague job descriptions, and pressure tactics claiming only 18 positions remain.
The scam mirrors a similar scheme reported to the Better Business Bureau in July 2026. Amazon confirmed awareness of impersonation attempts, urging consumers to verify job offers independently and report suspicious messages through its official channels at amazon.com/ReportAScam.
