Ogogo: Doctor clarifies ‘hospitals refused treatment’ claim

Doctor Olusina Ajidahun has clarified claims by the daughters of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, that hospitals had refused to continue treating their father, who has stage-four cancer.

According to The PUNCH, Ajidahun explained that patients with advanced cancer may be moved to palliative care after available treatments, including chemotherapy, have been exhausted.

The doctor, who said he was not involved in Ogogo’s care, warned that describing the situation as hospitals refusing treatment could create hostility towards healthcare workers.

He also cautioned against unverified herbal remedies, saying such treatments could cause further complications. Ajidahun urged Ogogo’s family to work closely with his medical team.
