Bayern Munich ease fears over Jamal Musiala’s future after seizure diagnosis
Bayern Munich have moved to reassure supporters that Jamal Musiala’s career is not at risk after the midfielder suffered two collapses during pre-season. According to GOAL.com, the Germany international has been diagnosed with brief, temporary and treatable absence seizures caused by a neurological dysfunction.
Musiala, 23, collapsed during Bayern’s friendly against Heidenheim, just days after a similar incident against RB Leipzig. The midfielder said he remains optimistic about treatment and continuing his career at the highest level. Bayern sources reportedly stressed there is no indication he cannot continue playing, although his return will be closely monitored by medical specialists.
