Barcelona makes Lautaro Martinez new striker target after Julian Alvarez difficulty

Barcelona have reportedly identified Lautaro Martinez as their new leading striker target after ending their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. According to Barca News Network, Barcelona sporting director Deco has already held talks with Martinez’s representatives as the club considers an approach for the Inter Milan striker.

However, a deal could prove difficult, with Sky Sport reporting that Inter consider the 28-year-old untouchable and are unwilling to entertain offers for him. Barcelona had also considered Georges Mikautadze, Ayoze Perez and Fisnik Asllani, but Martinez has now emerged as their preferred option following the collapse of the Alvarez pursuit.
