‘Show me one dollar donor and I’ll quit’: Peter Obi dares critics over diaspora fundraising claims
NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has issued a bold challenge to critics alleging he travelled to the United States to raise campaign funds from Nigerians in the diaspora, vowing to abandon his 2027 presidential campaign if anyone can prove a single dollar was collected.
Speaking in the US, Obi categorically denied the fundraising claims. “If anyone can show me one person in America who gave me even one dollar, I will end my 2027 campaign,” he declared.
Accordig to Daily Post, the former Anambra governor insisted he was self-financing his campaign activities. “I am using my own resources and paying all my bills, I am running around the world, trying to do the right thing,” he said.
