Iranian strikes hit hundreds of US buildings, destroyed dozens of aircraft

Iranian strikes damaged hundreds of U.S. military and diplomatic buildings during Operation Epic Fury, according to a new Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General report cited by Military Times.

U.S. Central Command told investigators that Iranian strikes damaged and destroyed hundreds of structures at American bases across Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan. The State Department further noted that diplomatic facilities in four countries suffered roughly $184 million in damage, with sites in Iraq hit more than 600 times.

The report also confirmed dozens of U.S. aircraft, including F-15Es and MQ-9 Reapers, were destroyed or damaged, while listing 18 dead personnel as of August 27, with wounded figures rising to 774.
