Brazil: Suspected serial killer nabbed disguised as woman, confesses to 80 murders
A suspected serial killer who reportedly confessed to 80 murders was arrested in Brazil while trying to evade justice disguised as a woman, according to the New York Post.
Jorlan Alves da Silva, 33, was captured wearing a striped dress, wig, sandals and painted nails during a raid in Paraiba state, northeastern Brazil, while carrying a two-year-old child whose connection to him remains unclear.
Police said Silva is suspected of carrying out at least 15 murders for organised crime gangs in the past three months alone. During questioning, he reportedly confessed to killing around 80 people over his lifetime, claiming his first murder at age 13.
He also helped police locate the body of a victim from an August 1 double homicide in Rio Tinto. His full claims remain under investigation.
