Electricity: FG to launch national call centre for complaints, vandalism reports
The Federal Government is set to establish a national electricity call centre to allow consumers report power-related complaints and infrastructure vandalism, according to The Sun Nigeria. Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe disclosed this at the commissioning of a 3MW hybrid mini-grid project at Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja, under Phase 2 of the Energising Education Programme.
Tegbe said the centre would offer a central platform for resolving complaints while creating jobs for young Nigerians, alongside a dedicated channel for reporting vandalism. He added that the government was collaborating with the Nigeria Police, NSCDC and EFCC to curb infrastructure vandalism.
The Rural Electrification Agency said the programme has delivered over 100MW across 22 federal institutions.
