Joan Garcia to miss three weeks as Barcelona suffer goalkeeping blow
Barcelona have suffered a setback with goalkeeper Joan Garcia ruled out for around three weeks after sustaining a meniscus injury to his right knee. The 25-year-old was substituted at half-time during Barcelona’s 7-2 victory over Racing Santander after experiencing discomfort.
According to Tribuna, club doctors have ruled out the need for surgery, with Garcia expected to return after the upcoming international break. The injury means he will miss Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla this weekend and Spain’s Nations League fixtures. The goalkeeper’s absence leaves Hansi Flick facing a selection decision between his available options for the weekend clash.
