Tinubu delays return to Nigeria, extends European vacation

President Bola Tinubu has extended his working vacation in Europe by a few days and is expected to return to Nigeria at the weekend.

PM News reports that presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga announced the extension on Monday evening.

Tinubu left Nigeria on August 30 for London before travelling to Paris, where he met French President Emmanuel Macron and businessman Vincent Bolloré.

Onanuga said the President remained in contact with developments at home and continued directing government affairs during his absence.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has represented Tinubu at official functions and is in New York for the 81st United Nations General Assembly.

AWith Shettima abroad, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume will represent Tinubu at official events.
