Wike accused Uzodimma of seeking the Senate presidency after leaving office, declaring, “I will never support a character of Hope Uzodimma to be senate president of Nigeria.”

According to Tribune, he maintained that supporting President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election should not prevent politicians from contesting legislative or governorship elections under other platforms.

Wike also rejected claims that the Rainbow Coalition would confuse voters, citing the 2023 elections in Rivers State, where voters backed Tinubu for president while supporting PDP candidates in other elections.
