A boy who was reportedly swept away by floodwaters in a rural community in Enugu State has been rescued alive about 24 hours after he went missing.

PUNCH reports that a viral video shared on Wednesday showed the boy being found and brought to safety, sparking emotional celebrations among witnesses.

Social media user Uche Nwora, who posted the footage, said the incident occurred in Enugu, although the boy’s identity and details surrounding his disappearance were not immediately available.

Witnesses could be heard rejoicing and praising God as the boy was rescued.
