El-Rufai, Hayatu-Deen named to Atiku’s ADC campaign council

Atiku Abubakar, ADC presidential candidate has appointed Nasir el-Rufai and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen to his campaign council for the 2027 elections.

According to TheCable, Atiku’s media aide, Phrank Shaibu, announced the appointments on Thursday, naming Kashim Ibrahim-Imam as chairman of the presidential campaign council and el-Rufai as deputy chairman.

Austin Akobundu was appointed director-general and campaign manager, responsible for coordinating the campaign’s structures and operations.

Hayatu-Deen, who contested the ADC presidential primary alongside Atiku, will coordinate the campaign policy team.

The appointments form part of Atiku’s campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election, as the ADC prepares its organisation for the contest.

Shaibu said the campaign structure was designed to address issues facing Nigerians and ensure accountability among its appointees.
