Nollywood mourns as actor Cjay Nwokafor dies
Nollywood actor Chijioke “Cjay” Nwokafor has died, prompting tributes from colleagues across the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Blessing said she had spoken with the actor at about 8am that day and cancelled the scheduled release of her movie, Egusi Ogbono, which featured Nwokafor, in his honour.
“Cjay Nwoke Oma, so this is really the end? Omo we had plans. I spoke to you at 8 a.m. today and a few hours later you are no more with us,” she wrote.
Actor Charles Born also reacted, saying, “Wait what? I was supposed to go see him at the clinic. Is this a joke?”
Nwokafor began acting in 2021 and appeared in Larry Cold, Mum Overnight and A Day to My Wedding. Funeral arrangements remain unannounced.
