Real Madrid demand Barcelona be stripped of nine La Liga titles in Negreira case
Real Madrid have reportedly asked UEFA to strip Barcelona of nine La Liga titles won between 2001 and 2018 as the long-running Negreira case returns to the spotlight, according to Sport Bible.
UEFA confirmed it has received substantial documentation from Madrid concerning payments made by Barcelona to companies linked to former refereeing official José María Enríquez Negreira and said its Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors will assess the material as part of their ongoing review.
Real Madrid have urged UEFA to act with “utmost urgency”, while Barcelona insist no new investigation has been opened, stressing that the existing proceedings began in 2023 and have never been closed. Barcelona have consistently denied attempting to influence referees.
