Wales beat 10-man Norway to secure first win of 2026
Wales secured their first victory of 2026 with a 2-1 Nations League win over 10-man Norway at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday night. According to Wales Online, Oscar Bobb gave Norway an early lead after Martin Odegaard’s fine pass, but Daniel James restored parity before half-time.
Norway’s task became harder shortly after the restart when Torbjorn Heggem was shown a red card for bringing down James as he ran through on goal. Neco Williams then converted the resulting free-kick to put Wales ahead. Erling Haaland struggled to make an impact as Wales defended their advantage to claim a much-needed victory under Craig Bellamy.
