Erling Haaland injury adds to Manchester City’s miserable week
Erling Haaland suffered another setback as he was forced off injured during Norway’s 2–1 Nations League defeat to Portugal on Sunday, adding to a miserable week for Manchester City. The striker signalled to Norway boss Ståle Solbakken that he needed to come off and was replaced by Jørgen Strand Larsen in the 67th minute, with the score level at 1–1.
According to the Daily Mirror, Haaland had scored twice against Denmark earlier in the international break but failed to find the net against Portugal. His injury will concern City ahead of their trip to Liverpool on October 11, with Phil Foden already suspended and other players carrying fitness doubts.
