Joshua Zirkzee gives Michael Carrick food for thought with impactful Netherlands display
Joshua Zirkzee has given Manchester United manager Michael Carrick something to consider after making an instant impact for the Netherlands against Serbia. According to The Peoples Person, the striker scored the winning goal after coming off the bench in the second half of the Netherlands’ 2-1 Nations League victory.
Zirkzee also registered one key pass and completed 100% of his long-ball attempts during his 45-minute appearance. The 25-year-old has struggled for regular football at United, managing only 70 minutes across four matches this season. With Benjamin Sesko having missed time through injury, Zirkzee’s latest display could strengthen his case for a bigger role at Old Trafford.
