Conte wants next job at club that has ‘lost sight of its history’
Antonio Conte has revealed the type of challenge he wants for his next managerial job, saying he is attracted to historic clubs seeking to rediscover former glory.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham manager said he would welcome an opportunity to rebuild a club with a rich history and expectations of winning.
“There are many clubs that have somewhat lost sight of their history,” Conte said.
“I’d like to go to one of these clubs to dust off that history and make it shine once more.”
Conte has been without a managerial job since leaving Napoli during the summer after guiding the Italian club to the Serie A title.
The Italian has indicated he plans to spend the year resting, although he has not completely ruled out accepting an opportunity during the season if the right project emerges.
