2027: APC offering up to N200m, cars to House of Reps candidates to step down – Galadima alleges
Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain, Buba Galadima, has alleged that politicians seeking elective offices are being offered millions of naira and vehicles to withdraw from the 2027 elections in favour of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.
Galadima made the allegation during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday, monitored by SaharaReporters. He claimed State House of Assembly aspirants were being offered N50 million, House of Representatives candidates N200 million and cars, senators N500 million and a Jeep, while governorship aspirants were allegedly offered N2 billion and a Jeep.
“As we speak now, if you go to Carlton Hotel in Asokoro, there is a lady from Zamfara who is sharing money,” Galadima alleged.
He claimed the alleged payments were part of efforts by President Bola Tinubu and APC governors to weaken opposition parties.
“President Tinubu and all his governors are afraid of contest; they want to win unopposed,” he said.
Galadima urged journalists to investigate the claims, admitting, “I may be wrong. I may be wrong, but this is the information we have.”
The allegations have not been independently verified.
