Tinubu to kick off 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna October 24
President Bola Tinubu will officially launch his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna State on October 24, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has announced.
According to PUNCH, the council’s Director-General, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed this on Friday after briefing Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Yari said the campaign council would hold its inaugural meeting on October 14 before commencing nationwide activities.
“Then we outlined our state visits to each and every place where we will go, and the President has approved them. So we are going to hit the ground running by the 24th of October, inshallah.”
He disclosed that Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, Borno State, would follow Kaduna on the campaign itinerary.
Yari also expressed confidence in Tinubu’s electoral prospects, citing the President’s political influence across northern and southern states.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the presidential election for January 16, 2027, with 18 candidates expected to contest.
