Ex-Edo PDP Chairman Orbih’s Remains Taken To Ogbonna For Burial

The remains of former Edo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih, have been taken to his hometown, Ogbonna, in Etsako Central Local Government Area, for burial. He is expected to be buried after a church service in the community. His body arrived in Benin City from Abuja on Friday, where Governor Monday Okpebholo and others received it.


Tinubu To Begin Re-election Campaign In Kaduna On October 24

President Bola Tinubu will begin his re-election campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has announced. Yari made the announcement on Friday. He said the campaign council would be inaugurated on Wednesday, ahead of the kickoff.


Wike Calls Amaechi A Loser, Says He Will Not Be President

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has attacked former Rivers State Governor and ADC presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, describing him as a loser who will never become Nigeria’s president. Speaking in Abuja on Friday after meeting FCT area council chairmen, Wike reacted to remarks attributed to Amaechi that “only thieves and mad people would vote for President Bola Tinubu”.


Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Okorocha, Araraume

A Senior Magistrate Court in Abuja has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, and ex-senator Ifeanyi Araraume over alleged criminal conspiracy, forgery and tendering of false documents. The court also ordered the arrest of Timothy Ama Chuks and Amen Okorocha, who allegedly conspired with Okorocha to forge and tender false APC results claiming he won.


Petrol Depot Prices Rise In Lagos, Port Harcourt, Others

Domestic petroleum product prices may rise further after petrol depot prices surged in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri and Calabar on Friday. Several marketers in Port Harcourt raised their prices to N1,900 per litre, even as some filling stations in Lagos sold at lower pump prices.

The Nigeria Customs Service, Tin Can Island Port Command, has intercepted two 40-foot containers carrying Delta-8 cannabis-infused cookies and gummies hidden in importers’ cars at the Lagos port.
