Trump brings Mike Tyson on stage at Syracuse rally.
Mike Tyson has confirmed he delivered a letter from jailed music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs to President Donald Trump, according to a report by USA Today.
Appearing Thursday on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live, ” Tyson said, ” I’m friendly with Puff,” when asked about his relationship with Combs.” Tyson, 60, said he spoke with Combs once by phone.
“He wanted me to give a letter to the president,” Tyson said. Asked whether he delivered it, he replied: “I did what he told me to do, yeah.”
Tyson also called Combs’ prosecution excessive. “I was surprised that they went through so many lengths to get him,” he said, adding, “They used a 110-year-old rule to get him.” Jurors convicted Combs under the 1910 Mann Act on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and acquitted him of trafficking and racketeering.
Trump said in January that Combs had asked for a pardon, but that he would not grant it. Combs is serving 50 months at FCI Fort Dix, New Jersey, with his release date now March 2, 2028.
On Friday, October appeared with Trump at the White House and at a campaign rally in Syracuse, New York. The former heavyweight champion flew on Air Force One after visiting the White House earlier in the day
