Pep Guardiola delivers profane response to calls for return of Man City medals

A former member of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City coaching staff has vowed not to return his medals if the club are stripped of titles following their Premier League financial-rule breaches verdict.

According to the Daily Mirror, the unnamed coach responded defiantly when discussing the possibility of surrendering his medals, saying: “If they think they are getting my medals back, they can f*** off.”

City were found guilty of 114 charges relating to alleged financial-rule breaches between 2009 and 2018, while the club have appealed the verdict. Potential sanctions include fines, points deductions and retrospective title stripping.
