Saudi Crown Prince ‘moving between guarded palaces with bunkers’…
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly been moving between heavily guarded, bunker-equipped palaces for six days as Houthi attacks on Riyadh intensify, the Daily Mail reports, citing the Wall Street Journal.
According to Saudi officials, “the 41-year-old crown prince is shuttling between heavily guarded palaces equipped with bunkers and is guarded by a handpicked security team.” He was last seen publicly on Tuesday, when he donated blood.
On Saturday, a strike on King Khalid International Airport killed 13 people and injured hundreds, the kingdom’s deadliest attack in a decade. A second strike on Sunday killed one person and injured 11.
The Houthis claimed responsibility, with spokesman Yahya Saree saying the group had carried out “four qualitative operations in the past 24 hours using ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.” Schools in Riyadh have moved to remote learning.
President Donald Trump said he “may” join a Saudi counterattack, adding: “It’s not good… I’m not happy.”
UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting called the attacks “contemptible.”
