No confusion, Osun will vote Tinubu for president, Accord for other offices, Adeleke says
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that voters in the state will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election while backing Accord Party candidates for National and State Assembly seats.
According to PUNCH, Adeleke made the declaration on Thursday in Ede during the inauguration of the campaign committee for Senator Lere Oyewumi’s re-election. He was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi.
Addressing concerns over the “Rainbow Coalition” promoted by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Adeleke insisted that voters would not be confused.
“On the rumour going around in town about ‘Rainbow Coalition,’ don’t let that give us any headache. Let me state again that we are only going to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election only.
“The National and State Assembly elections will be for the Accord Party. There should be no confusion among the voters,” he said.
Adeleke urged campaign committee members to demonstrate total loyalty and secure Oyewumi’s victory.
The governor, who defected from the PDP to Accord in December 2025, previously endorsed Tinubu’s re-election despite political differences between their parties.
