Jack Grealish set to miss Everton’s Newcastle clash amid disciplinary issue

Jack Grealish is expected to miss Everton’s Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Monday night following a disciplinary issue at the club.

According to The Athletic⁠, the 31-year-old is not fit and has been excluded from Everton’s travelling squad after missing their Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle last Thursday.

Everton had previously confirmed that Grealish’s omission from the 3-1 victory was due to a “breach of club discipline”, reportedly following an unauthorised absence from training.

Manager David Moyes declined to provide further details, saying: “It was a club decision and I support it.”

Grealish, who is on loan from Manchester City, has failed to register a goal or assist in eight appearances this season. His availability for Friday’s home fixture against Coventry City remains uncertain.
