FC Barcelona released an official statement expressing their condolences:

“FC Barcelona deeply regrets the tragic news of the death of Jesús de Miguel, a player for CD Tenerife.

Our thoughts and support go out to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”

CD Tenerife shared their grief in a statement, writing: “Heartbroken, with a lump in our throats and unable to believe this is true. There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can alleviate this feeling full of sadness.”
