FC Andorra speaks for Owono, extends support to de Miguel’s family

FC Andorra defender Lautaro Spatz has defended team-mate Jesus Owono while paying tribute to Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel, who died after a collision with the goalkeeper, Sky Sports reports.

Spatz said Owono “would never intend to hurt anyone” and called the death “a tragedy that has left us completely broken, without words and with a sadness difficult to explain”.

Police have opened a standard investigation, though a prosecutor said criminal proceedings were “very unlikely”.
