MultiChoice unveils new DStv, GOtv subscription packages

From November 5, DStv’s ₦6,000 Starter plan includes SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+, while the ₦21,000 Sports plan covers every Premier League and Champions League match.

MultiChoice Nigeria, a CANAL+ company, has introduced new subscription packages for its DStv and GOtv platforms to broaden its offerings and improve the viewing experience, Premium Times reports.

The company unveiled the packages at an event on Wednesday at The Royal Box, Victoria Island, Lagos. The new arrangement took effect on November 5 and brings SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+ to the lower subscription tiers. MultiChoice said this will give more households access to football and Nigerian drama.

DStv subscribers can now choose from four packages: Starter, Select, Sports and Premium. GOtv customers will have Easy, Starter, Select and Sports.

The ₦6,000 DStv Starter package includes SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+. The ₦21,000 Sports package covers every Premier League and Champions League fixture, alongside WWE and UFC content.

MultiChoice Nigeria CEO Kemi Omotosho said the company used subscribers’ feedback to develop the packages. She said the changes reflect Nigerians’ calls for improved value, greater choice and content that suits their preferences.
