Wike speaks on Fubara’s political future beyond 2027
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has dismissed claims that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has lost his political future following his prolonged political crisis with his predecessor, PM News reported. Wike spoke on Thursday in Abuja during his monthly media chat with selected journalists.
Wike said, “Governor Fubara is a young man. It will be incorrect to say that his political future is gone. Fubara is an active member of the Rainbow Coalition. In fact, he was the one who unveiled the Rainbow Coalition candidates in Rivers State.”
The minister said Fubara was young and that his political future should not be judged by what happened during the political crisis in Rivers State. He said Fubara was an active member of the Rainbow Coalition, a political group made up of different parties supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. PM News noted Fubara reconciled with Wike in May this year, following their prolonged disagreement. The reconciliation led Fubara to drop his re-election ambition.
