Accord Party dumps Adeleke, backs APC’s Oyebamiji ahead of Osun poll
A faction of the Accord party, led by National Chairman Christopher Imumolen, has withdrawn support for Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and endorsed APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji ahead of Saturday’s election, according to Daily Post Nigeria.
Imumolen announced the decision at an APC mega rally in Osogbo, urging Accord members to vote for Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO. The move follows Accord’s suspended rally amid internal crisis. Progressives Governors’ Forum Chairman Hope Uzodinma and Minister Adegboyega Oyetola also rallied support for Oyebamiji, calling him a tested and trusted candidate.
