Accord sacks ex-presidential candidate Imumolen for endorsing Oyebamiji ahead of Osun poll
The Accord Party has expelled Chris Imumolen, its 2023 presidential candidate, for backing APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji ahead of Saturday’s Osun election, according to a report by SaharaReporters.
National Chairman Maxwell Mgbudem said Imumolen’s appearance at an APC rally in Osogbo showed he no longer represented the party, denying claims he was a factional chairman.
Accord reaffirmed support for Governor Ademola Adeleke, accusing APC of using intimidation and federal institutions like the police and EFCC to pressure its members, while urging INEC and international observers to ensure a credible, violence-free election.
