Achraf Hakimi scores first career hat-trick as PSG thrash Le Havre 5-1
Achraf Hakimi scored the first hat-trick of his professional career as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Le Havre 5-1 on Friday, while Luis Enrique became the most successful manager in the French club’s history.
According to ESPN, the Moroccan defender also registered two assists, contributing to all five goals as the Ligue 1 leaders recovered from an early setback.
Former Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion striker Josh Maja gave Le Havre an 18th-minute lead before Hakimi assisted Mika Godts’ equaliser and scored twice to put PSG ahead.
The 27-year-old completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, although his through ball initially created the opportunity for Senny Mayulu’s goal.
The victory marked PSG’s ninth consecutive win in all competitions and their sixth successive league triumph.
Meanwhile, Luis Enrique recorded his 127th victory as PSG manager, surpassing Laurent Blanc’s previous club record. Hakimi achieved the milestone in his 486th career appearance.
