According to Politics Nigeria, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed it was represented at the 2027 National Peace Accord signing in Abuja, despite presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s physical absence. The party said its National Legal Adviser, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, signed on its behalf.

President Bola Tinubu and sixteen other candidates endorsed the accord on Tuesday, organised by the National Peace Committee and The Kukah Centre, ahead of campaigns for the January 16, 2027 elections. Tinubu urged politicians to campaign on ideas rather than ethnic sentiment, stressing elections are “not a do-or-die affair.”
