Adelabu drops APC appeal, calls for correction of Oyo primary ‘injustice’

Former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu has dropped plans to appeal or pursue legal action over APC’s Oyo State 2027 governorship primary, despite alleging serious transparency concerns, according to The Sun Nigeria.

Adelabu said primary results were not formally declared before candidates’ names were uploaded to INEC’s portal, affecting governorship, Senate, House and Assembly nominations. He said the decision, made “in the interest of peace,” was not an admission the process was fair, and urged national leadership to pursue comprehensive reconciliation.

Adelabu reaffirmed loyalty to the APC and President Bola Tinubu, insisting his ambition was not “do-or-die.”
